About

Honestly, my photography journey has been quite accidental. I wish I could say I was born holding a camera and the first word that came out of my mouth was “photo”, but I’d be telling a lie if I said I always knew I wanted to be a photographer. I had always been artistic, dabbling in painting and design right throughout high school, but I never found anything I felt completely comfortable with.
I got myself a basic point and shoot in my early twenties, then moved onto an entry level DSLR in my mid-twenties. What started off as a passing interest and convenience (holiday photos, photos of my food, photos of flowers…) quickly turned into an obsession. Finally my perfectionist and artistic heart had found something that made sense.
Most of my life I have been a bit of a wanderer in regards to my studies, career, hobbies and life, really. I never really felt "at home" with anything I tried, but only recently have started to feel at peace with my life.
Bohemia Heart began as a personal photography blog primarily showcasing my 52 week project that finished in 2016. The purpose of this blog is to give me a creative and artistic outlet.
