What a great start to the year and my 52 week project! I already feel accomplished and I've only just begun, heh. As you can tell, I'm not just taking one photo a week. I hate feeling restricted, so I've created my own rules for this project and will post however many I like, as long as they've been taken in the same week.

I spent New Year's Eve at home with Dan. I've wanted to get a photo of a sparkler for some time, so I'm happy I got this. Here's a secret: that image is a few photos composed together because sparkles don't sparkle that much!

I found some Bulbul bird eggs and a nest in my garden a few days ago. Even though I live in an apartment in town, we have a large variety of native birds. It really is beautiful to hear them singing everyday and it's nice to know that they appreciate my garden.

Possibly the best Christmas gift ever from Dan; a complete hardcover set of Harry Potter books, illustrated by Jonny Duddle. Completely in love. I mostly use my Kindle these days, but for special books I like to have a physical copy.
