I've had a pretty up and down week. The first few images are technically from last week, I got my cards back from the wedding photographer I work for and decided to edit a couple to share. Our agreement is that I not share images that show faces (because they're her clients, not mine and I'm contracted to her) but sometimes I like to share detail shots. This wedding in particular was pretty great to shoot - it was a large Greek wedding. So many details and so many people! They even had some plate smashing which was fun and different.

The flower bouquet has probably been one of my favourites out of any weddings I've shot so far. I love these types of bouquets and what made this one particularly special is that she added olive branches to it. The branches are from her Dad's olive tree, who passed away a few years ago. It was perfect and beautiful.

I recognized the cake immediately, as I follow the baker on Instagram. She runs Bakedown Cakery in Sydney and she is so extremely talented! One day I'll order my own from her :)

I have been sick for the past few days, so haven't been able to do much. I haven't been sick for years! In my younger life, I used to get sick all the time. When I ate terribly and didn't exercise. Now I rarely get sick, and when I do I tend to recover quickly. It was just a fever and the flu, but I hate flopping around the house having no motivation to do anything.

I've started making my own granola. I can't believe I've only just started. All store bought granola tastes like cardboard now compared to this! I have it with a bit of yogurt and some fresh berries for breakfast each day. I use this healthy granola recipe from Cookie and Kate but ditch the dried fruit. I'd rather just add fruit if I want later.

I also finally got around to getting a large frame for our David Bowie print. I've had my eye on this one for a few years by the talented Helen Green and bought it for Dan as a gift recently.

I'm also thinking about adding some more segments to this blog. So far it's just my 52 week photography project which I'm really happy with so far! It's been on my bucket list for such a long time so I'm happy I'm sticking with it each week. I have a couple of ideas so far, but it would most likely be subjects like "How To's" (how to back up your images, how to choose and buy camera gear and upgrades, how to reach out and second shoot when you're just starting out etc) and anything else people might want to know. Maybe a "What's In My Camera Bag" and why I chose the gear I have.

Just ideas so far, but if you have any questions or you'd like to see a photography subject talked about leave a comment.
