Bit of a boring week but I guess not all weeks are eventful or interesting! I've been "off" for the last few weeks as I've had no jobs on. Didn't plan it like this but when do plans ever work out 100% the way you want them to anyway?
I've taken advantage of my free time though. I've always wanted to bake a roast chicken but for some reason I've always been intimidated. As I found out though, it's one of the easiest things ever! I followed this Jamie Oliver Roast Chicken recipe. It was DELICIOUS and I'm definitely going to make it again. Next time I will try making stuffing and gravy from scratch. This was even on my bucket list so I'm happy I got to cross another thing off from it :)
I recently purchased some Eneloop rechargeable batteries. When I do weddings or events, I use two flashes and they just chew through batteries. I have been buying lithium batteries which are more powerful but cost a small fortune. Not to mention how wasteful batteries are in general, eight lithium batteries will last me for one job usually (not very sustainable). So I invested in these new rechargeables. I've never liked any rechargeable batteries in the past because they've never held their charge that well and take forever to recharge, but these ones are pretty great! And they come in all these funky colours! If you are a photographer that needs loads of batteries for jobs I would definitely recommend these.
This next image is a screenshot and isn't related to photography at all, but I've been playing World of Warcraft for many years, since it's release back in 2004. I've been a big Warcraft fan since I was a child, playing my first Warcraft game with my Dad when I was around 8 years old. The lore and stories have always fascinated me, and although I don't get a huge amount of time to play anymore, I still play in my spare time. It's been nice having some time off recently as I've been able to play a little bit :)
