I promise being late will not be a reoccurring theme! Last Saturday I second shot at a wedding in Sydney and we got completely rained out. The bride had a certain idea of how she wanted her day to look, but we had torrential rain and icy blasts of wind so we were forced to abandon certain photography locations. It is unfortunate but it's just the way that things go sometimes, can't control the weather. We ended up getting more shots at other locations and honestly they still look beautiful.

In between walking from one location to another (in the rain with umbrellas, desperately trying to protect the bride and our gear!) I managed to quickly snap the above images. There's a beautiful garden in Lavender Bay called Wendy's Secret Garden and each time I've been there it's to assist at a wedding, but I'd love to go back on a day off and just spend some time there. The garden was created by and maintained by Wendy Whiteley, former wife of famous Australian artist Brett Whiteley. I saw her busily weeding a portion of the garden last Saturday, the rain doesn't deter her apparently!

This is such a random shot, but there's a story with it. The photographer I was shooting for was posing the bride and groom, very intimate and romantic poses. They were cuddling on a wharf and just as we're about to take some photos, this seagull lands right next to them and just starts shrieking so loudly everyone looks over at it! We all couldn't help but laugh while trying to take these really romantic shots all the while this seagull is just making these loud and weird noises.

I'm still experimenting with different edits. So my work looks fairly mismatched right now, but it's okay. I liked the black and white edit of the Sydney Harbour Bridge just because it was such a gloomy and misty day I felt like it suited it.
