Huge blog post today, I'm trying desperately to keep on top of it and pass my 52 week photography project with flying colours! The last three days I have been doing a lot of traveling and driving - 700km worth to be exact. Dan and I drove out to Eugowra (population 530 people) on Friday which is over the mountains and in the Central West of NSW. It took us 5 hours to drive there. I photographed a wedding on the Saturday at a beautiful venue called Eat Your Greens - it is completely secluded and private and surrounded by bush land. We had to stay in the nearest town called Parkes which was about a 30 minute drive from Eugowra and is a true country town! Both the bride and the groom grew up in and still have family in Parkes.

We got up very early on Friday and set sail on our long journey to Eugowra/Parkes. I saw a few wallabies, an emu and an eagle during the drive through the country. We only needed an hour to explore Parkes fully, but we ended up spending the most time eating our packed lunch in a beautiful park in the town centre.

Yelp has never let me down when it comes to finding good quality local food joints and I found a great country pub on the app, The Railway Hotel Parkes. For $18 I got one of the biggest chicken schnitzel's I have ever seen! I couldn't finish it. I was also surprised at the modern decor and art on the walls, I wasn't expecting something so contemporary for a small country town.

This was Dan's first time assisting me for a wedding and I loved every minute of it. He was so incredibly helpful and it really does make the job a little easier. He was carrying my gear around, fetching things from the car for me, drove us around everywhere, held things for me, helped my clients with little things and he even crouched down behind my bride and groom and held my flash.

I am so incredibly tired, I am 4/5 weddings down, the last one is this Saturday and after that I will get a bit of a break so I can edit all these images. I also start a new job tomorrow, just to make it a little bit more chaotic!
