Dan and I have been working so much lately and have had so much on, combined with having some severe internet issues my blog took an unplanned hiatus. I haven't been able to upload anything and it has been a genuine nightmare.
We recently drove 10 hours to Byron Bay, a coastal beach town in northern NSW. We are not beach people (not huge swimming fans!) but Dan's sister had her wedding up there. We were so lucky to get perfect weather on the drive up, and on the wedding day. It's an interesting little town with lots of quirks, and I had a field day with taking photos. I didn't bring my bulky DSLR, choosing to just shoot with my little Canon EOS M2 and 22mm lens.

We left at 5:00am and arrived in the late afternoon.

If you're ever in Byron Bay I highly recommend this cute little gelato shop - Beaches and Cream. Dan and I got gelato and ate it by the beach. I got two flavours, coconut and salted caramel, both were AMAZING. Always a huge fan of great gelato. No photos of it unfortunately as it started melting immediately.

We spent an hour or so just wandering around Byron Bay as everything is in walking distance. After the 10 hour drive there we didn't feel like doing much.

Dan made a friend :)

The next day we attended Dan's sisters wedding. We were picked up by a very colourful bus that drove us all to the wedding venue.

When we arrived we put all our belongings into our new accommodation, a house we shared with the family. This accommodation was next to the wedding venue so it made it very easy for us! It was a beautifully designed house and I went a bit nuts taking photos of all of it.

Always a big fan of wedding cakes :) This one looked incredible AND tasted amazing. I actually got to eat the wedding cake! Normally I don't because I'm too busy working ;)

Dan and his Dad :)

And just a couple of Instagram snaps from my personal account. It was the first time I ever got my hair styled and I was very happy with how it turned out! I'm actually a bit bummed that the hair salon I went to, Sulis House of Lush isn't closer to me! It was such a beautiful salon, it smelled amazing and the stylists in there were so lovely.
This was the first wedding I've attended in a very long time where I didn't have to work. I took a couple of photos but didn't really go crazy with it, and I enjoyed myself so much! We drank, we ate, we chatted with people. It really was a beautiful day!
